Ubuntu 18.04 distribution on WSL fail to Set Default User via Config Command

We use WSL Ubuntu 18.04

Advertised command to change default login user is

ubuntu config default-user myname Fist thing to make this work was to change the command to:

ubuntu1804 config default-user myname The command runs and doesn't give an error

However, while there are 2 functioning `sudo` users in WSL. the default user was not changed.

I tried this in `cmd` `pwsh` and `powershell` as admin and not admin

All fail to changed default user. What am I doing wrong please. Thank you
