I cannot get Itune to open. When I double click the icon or try to run as administrator nothing happens. A message will pop up in the solve pc issue system tray tool but it doesnt offer any information and just says to reinstall. I've tried everything from uninstalling and reinstalling to repairing as well as running in safe mode. When I try to run in safe mode the notification box pops up that says you are going to run in safe mode with the continue and quit options but when I hit continue nothing happens. The solve pc issue screen just says that Itunes has stopped working properly and a newer version is available. I have the current version downloaded and have tried installing as explained above. Running Windows 7 in 64 bit mode. Please help!

Hello and welcome to Fpch , Have you tried using Revo Uninstaller in advanced mode to remove itunes http://www.revouninstaller.com/ then reinstalling , making sure Apple has auto detected you are using 64bit software

I had to download an older version of Itunes (9) then update from there if anyone is interested or has a similar issue. Thanks for your help!
