Hiya,

 

I've just joined the forum and wanted to say Hi and give a quick introduction to myself.

 

My name is Tom and I live in the delightfully cold West Yorkshire.

 

I am a technician for a large media company who supply Fibre optic broadband, TV and landline phone.

 

When i'm not driving about repairing superhubs and TiVo's, I enjoy messing with computers, and i'm the one the family always come to when something is up - trouble is, my knowledge is quite basic and, frankly, some fixes are by fluke.

 

I understand the fundamentals on how a PC works, which bits do what and why, but the bit I struggle with is HOW something does what it does. Hopefully I can share my basic and patchy (and probably incorrect, lets face it) knowledge with people who need help, and hopefully when I have an issue you guys would be kind enough to help me out in return.

 

Anyway, thats enough of my wittering,
