ISHANT622 Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 (edited) operating system:win 7 ultimate laptop model: hcl me icon 54 Basically my problem is this, my mouse pointer locks into position whenever I use the keyboard. For example if I hold down a key - my mouse pointer will freeze to the current position on screen for the entire time I am holding down this button, and for around 1 second after I release the button.. At the same time when I press a key my mouse pointer will stop moving however my mouse clicks both work. Other functions of the touch-pad also work, for example, zoom, scroll and clicking using the touch-pad. What I wondered is if there is a way to fix this so that my mouse will not lock into position whenever I touch a key? Edited October 23, 2012 by ISHANT622 Quote

KenB Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 Start > type in ........devmgmt.msc .......Enter Click the + next to "Mice and Other Pointing Devices" Right click on the laptop mousepad > Click on "Uninstall" If you have your USB mouse connected it may be confusing which is which. Unplug your USB mouse and the screen should refresh showing you the drivers that need to be uninstalled. When you reboot the machine Windows will re-install the drivers for the mouse-pad.
