Send To Reference

I have a client who until a few days ago could scan a document, and have it automatically start Outlook and attach the scanned file to an email in Outlook This stopped working and began starting Windows Live Mail (WLM) instead.

 

I checked thru the scanning software and it only calls MAIL and testing reveals when I right click a File and id="38">choose Send to Email it too starts Windows Live.

 

I have undertaken

 

1. Making sure the default mail client is Outlook in Win 10 > Settings > Application Defaults.
   
2. Changing the above to WLM, restarting, then back to Outlook restarting and testing.
   
3. Checked the registry that this is set as the default according to the above.
   
4. Making sure the Send To Mail Recipient hasas its only command
   
5. Checked in the registry that MAIL references Microsoft Outlook.
   
6. Renamed the MSMAPI32.DLL and forced outlook to recreate it.
   
7. Executed an app suggested in these forums from WinHelponline called fixmailrecipient.exe.
