I know its compatible. The system has worked before.

 

I'm tempted to do a overhaul of the whole system.

Ok, but the ram and video card are the most likely culprits. Since you've ruled out the video card. you may have a defective ram stick. Try one at a time. Also disconnect any peripherals (especially USB) and see if it fires up.

 

To clear the cmos, unplug the computer, jump the pins or move the jumper over, reverse that step and plug in the computer.
