beacongazer Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 Good Afternoon All, I have a Dell Laptop operating on windows 7 and I have one annoying problem. Whenever I log in to ebay the screen flashes white up to 4 times, this keeps happening evertime I go to another page or try to list etc. All other sites I visit are OK . It is very puzzling  Quote
KenB Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 Hi and welcome to ExTS Sorry for the late reply - the site has been down for the last 24 hours :( If it is just eBay it could be a corrupt cookie ( small piece of software put on your system by eBay to speed up your navigation around the site ). Start > Control Panel > Internet Options > Delete put a tick in the box next to "Cookies" ( you may as well do the temp files too as they are not needed ) Delete. You will find that you need to log in again to sites like this that may have remembered your login details as these will be lost. beacongazer Posted November 5, 2012 Author Posted November 5, 2012 Thank you so much, such a silly problem but so annoying. It only goes to show how much sites have control of your browsing ! I even had to cancel remember password to sort this out. I now have to enter all passwords but it seems more private and keeps my brain working ! Thanks again for your help Quote
KenB Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Good to hear that eBay is now behaving itself :) The other sites etc that use automated login should be OK and their cookies, once reinstalled, should be OK. The eBay one should be too as the original cookie may well have been corrupt. Quote There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !!
