maynardvdm Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Hi As far as i know, and someone can correct me if i am wrong, the CPU can't be upgraded on a laptop. Mostly RAM and HDD's can be upgraded. BreatGritain Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 On the Acer website (quick google search for Asus Aspire 5750 specs) it shows the laptop for sale with i3, i5 and i7 processors, so I would assume (but could be wrong) that it is possible to swap CPU's. As for where you could get a cheap one. eBay? Don't really have any other suggestions myself! Quote
KenB Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Hi Some CPUs can be replaced - some are actually soldered in. This may put you off If you are trying to speed up the machine it may be better to add RAM than try to replace the CPU.
