upgrade to 10 is 7 a ghost still hosting my computer

Okay not sure if I'll get an answer to this, probably a robot, If I had windows 7 and upgraded to windows 10, what happens to windows 7 and 8, does it get deleted or is it still taking up data room on my computer? my computer doesn't seem to know what it

wants when it starts up. I'm about ready to throw my computer out the door.

 

I added a Avast virus program but I don't think it's working either about ready to remove it. When I browse it wants me to browse in a window I don't trust. and My windows takes forever.
