So it only occurs when you try to go online, right?

See if the problem occurs in Safe Mode With Networking.

After the computer has been up and running for 15 minutes with NO applications running, what is the CPU percent of usage when looking at Task Manager ?

I wonder if the Event Viewer will give more details? Check the Application and System headings:

Access the viewer by going to START menu >> Run, type eventvwr.msc and pressing ENTER.

Hey guys, im sorry about the long time to reply I've been away at my friends.

With the event viewer should I post a log on here for you?

And the usage is still the same after 15 mins. It should stablize straight after ending a game.

The specs are Pentium D 945, OCZ 2gb 800mhz ram, 320gb hdd with plenty of space left.

I've looked up other peoples problems around google who have had problems with an 'svchost' and have used registry fixing programs. They have said that theyve worked but I thought I should ask you guys first.

thankyou again

Well in general if a Registry cleaning tool works it's mostly a fluke (accident) as what they do typically should not cause an issue for 99% of computers, but some have claimed that it has fixed things and I too have seen where it will seem to fix some weird issues.

Finding a decent one though is difficult as some of them will flat out cause more damage than good.

I've used Registry Mechanic from PC Tools but it won't do the whole thing unless you buy it.

So what were the log results from using the SUPERAntispyware application? I don't see those results posted here.

SUPERAntispyware

If it's taking 100% of CPU then some rootkit or something else must be going on that is hiding from the detection tools.

Maybe post a HijackThis this log but if it's hiding from those others it would be hiding from HijackThis as well.
