PEV Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 I have just updated to the 2013 version of AVG Free. However I am tempted to move to MS Essentials or other free AV as reccomended by some of you guys. However I am wondering if my present McAfee firewall will happily run alongside the new AV as it does with AVG? Any advice please? Ray Quote
KenB Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 I don't see why not Ray. Starbuck or etavares may be able to provide further info. Quote There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !! MiniToolBoxNetwork TestWireless Test

Starbuck Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 If it's the stand alone version of the firewall i don't see any problem with conflicts. Quote Member of:UNITE
PEV Posted December 16, 2012 Author Posted December 16, 2012 Thanks I will give AVG 2013 a trial for a bit as it seems to be less time wasting than the 2012 version I have just replaced. If we don't comunicate before, a great Xmas to all on the forum. Finding this forum and the help I have had at hand has been like an early Christmas present. Ray Quote
