Error message

Hi,

Im trying to install a driver on my Compaq PC for a (dont laugh!) Voyager 105 modem and keep getting the error message "Cant get registry value Key=software/GlobespanVirta/ Adsl value = driver type"

Any suggestions?

It says that you should not have any other modems installed. Do you?

Try saving this to a text file with notepad and then name it. voyager105.reg

Using NOTEPAD when you do a File-Save As if you put quotes before and after it will save the .REG instead of .TXT

 

so it would be like: "voyager105.reg"

"driverType"=""
"ispSection"=""

Then once you save it, find it and double-click on it and allow it to update the Registry.

 

Then try to reinstall the drivers and let us know how it goes.

 

 

Make sure the registry key location is spelled EXACTLY as the error says, if not then it need to be modified to the same name.

Hi AS , gave this a try but got an error message that was long winded but said it would only accept binary code
