MereKat Posted December 28, 2012 Posted December 28, 2012 I've seen a lot of people post on this in various places, but 90% of post's i read are slightly different... I am a member on a few forums, mainly to do with my car, but other interests aswell. The issue i am having is that whenever i go to any of them, any browser i am using (Chrome, IE, Firefox, Safari) with load the top of the webpage...nothing else. I can click refresh, and after a few attempts it'll load everything straight up. I have left it on a page loading for 15-20mins, and nothing, then hit refresh and boom!! There it is! Other times it takes 10+ refreshes to load anything. The Net connection is good, and all browser seem to be fine with any other pages including YouTube iplayer etc, so pretty sure it's not a connection problem. I have run a couple of spyware, malware and antivirus scans, which come up with nothing but cookies. I also have an old Compaq Windows 98SE laptop which has no problems loading anything, although it is very slow to do anything! Is it something i can easily adjust in the settings? Or will it be a case of repair/re-install windows (Or other similar drastic scenario)... The laptop is a Toshiba Satellite A30 running XP SP3. Quote
KenB Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 Hi Sorry for the slow response - it is that time of year :) Try the following: Start > Control Panel > Internet Options > Delete > check next to Cookies and Temp Files > Delete See if this helps. Internet sites that give you auto login ( like this one ) will need the username and password again to log in.
