KenB Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Hi Gareth I deleted the other duplicate post that was posted 5 minutes after this one. best bits I should go for in the £300 bracket Is this £300 in total ? ( including what you have bought already ? ) For this price you are not going to get a gaming machine. Decent gaming video cards start at about £80 Do you have an Operating System that you can install that isn't on another machine ? If not this will take a large proportion of your budget. Vr5fx Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 First off, we need to know what power supply you have, and its Watt. Can you tell us this please. I'll dig around for a set that will work together, and will reply after you have told us your power supply details. Animaldrummer2006 Posted January 1, 2013 Author Posted January 1, 2013 I there I have an 850 watt power supply with 2, six pin sli sockets and 24 pin power supply I think it should be ok for anything out there Quote
KenB Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 I will let Vr5fx advise on the hardware. I already have a copy of windows 7 When you install you should have an option to install 32 or 64 bit Operating System. Select the 64 bit. 32 bit systems only support 4 GB RAM with a 64 bit system you are limited only by the motherboard - but 8GB RAM should be possible. Vr5fx Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Motherboard; Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 http://www.ebuyer.com/269072-asus-m5a78l-m-usb3-amd-socket-am3-8-channel-hd-audio-matx-motherboard-m5a78l-m-usb3 Processor; AMD Phenom II x4 Black Edition http://www.ebuyer.com/186428-amd-phenom-ii-x4-965-black-edition-3-4ghz-socket-am3-6mb-l3-hdz965fbgmbox OR AMD FX-4 4100 Black Edition http://www.ebuyer.com/287683-amd-fx-4-4100-black-edition-4-core-3-6ghz-socket-am3-8mb-l3-fd4100wmgusbx RAM; Corsair 8GB DDR3 1600MHz http://www.ebuyer.com/339598-corsair-8gb-ddr3-1600mhz-vengeance-memory-cmz8gx3m1a1600c10 Graphics; EVGA GTX 650 Ti SuperClocked http://www.ebuyer.com/407220-evga-gtx-650-ti-supersuperclocked-2gb-gddr5-dual-dvi-mini-hdmi-pci-e-02g-p4-3653-kr In your budget. Not a bad set to be honest. You wont need more than 4 cores, and no need to overclock. 8Gb RAM is more than plenty for gaming, no need to expand. Good motherboard for an "all rounder", it is cheap and effective. A reasonable graphics card, not suitable for SLI, but then no graphics card is really, no games use it. I used Ebuyer as a reference because I use them, they are good and helpful, but obviously the parts may be cheaper elsewhere. -Vr Quote AMD FX 6100 @ 3.9Ghz / Asus M5A99X EVO 990X / G-Skill 8GB DDR3 1600Mhz RipjawsX / Zotac GeForce GTX 660 Ti / Corsair TX 750W V2 PSU / Antec Kuhler 620 / Win7 64 / NZXT Tempest 410 Elite / NZXT 6 channel fan controller / Kingston 240GB HyperX 3K SSD / 1TB HDD Intel Pentium G2020 2.90GHz / Gigabyte GA-Z77N-WIFI / Kingston 4GB DDR3 1600MHz HyperX Genesis / Corsair 430W CXM / Fractal Design Node 304 Mini ITX Case / 2TB WD Greenhttp://steamsignature.com/status/default/76561197986113115.png
