Is there a broad grey cable in the case that is attached from the m/board to the hard drive ?

The cable is flat and about 2 inch ( 50 mm ) wide.

i guess its this one the picture you gave me ! because i also saw the IDE ( molex) wire but the wire wasnt connected

so i think its this one ..

and btw i didnt saw any grey wire there from my mobo !!

The broad grey wire is for IDE, you have SATA so it is not needed.

As Maynard confirms - your Hard drive is SATA.

(although your actual connections look non-standard)

 

That PSU you linked to will do the job :)

 

The inside of your case looks very dusty - it would benefit from a clean.

Use a can of compressed air ( any computer shop or Halfords ) or a soft brush.

This is best done outside - for obvious reasons.

The Storm seems the better of the two.

 

44 Pin; 4 pin +12V; 1 x 6 pin Pci-e; 3 x SATA; 3 x 4 pin power; 1 x floppy connector

I think the "44 pin" is a miss-type and should be 24 pin as this is the standard power connection to the motherboard.

 

It has a PCIe 6 pin power connection which some video cards need.

 

I will Not Have To Change It For The Next 5-8 Years

Your system is old now.

Adding a 500 Watt PSU and a video card is not going to future-proof it.

Even with the PSU and Video Card you will find gaming limited.

 

I don't like advising people on how to spend their hard-earned cash.

I prefer you to make a decision based on information received.

 

It depends what you want to spend on a card - and many medium to high-end cards need much more than 500 Watts.

You need to know if the card will run on 500 Watts ( most of these from eBuyer will )

You also need to know if it will fit in the space available in your case.

( I am not sure how much height you have available )

 

I still suggest that you get the PSU first and get this working before you spend more cash.
