hey guys, im looking to buy a new laptop for my sister but im not certain that what i've been looking at, was priced reasonably for what was offered. i was hoping someone could suggest a laptop that is; durable, has a long battery life, and is just overall a good laptop to do work from and browse the web (watching movies too). I am on a budget of £300.

any help is appreciated, thanks.

Hi

Take a look here

Be aware - some are "Refurbished"

Make a note of the screen size. 15.6 inch is a standard laptop.

You may want to think twice about Windows 8.

It is totally different from Vista and Win7 and you may find it difficult to find your way around.

(Just a thought)

There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !!

will it be compatible with everything?

Not sure what you mean?

It will run all the usual software - Skype - Windows Media Player - etc

Flash Drives / external hard drives

Webcam

etc

The layout is, however, totally different from Win7

I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.

Uses the same setup as the M5030, where idling you could put a slice of cheese between some bread, close the lid and 5 minutes later have an awesome toastie.

Lemme dig..................

And here's one.
