A Newborn's Conversation with God

A baby asked God, "They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow,

but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?"

God said,

"Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you."

The child further inquired, but tell me, here in heaven I don't have to do anything but sing and smile to be happy."

God said,

"Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you. And you will feel your angel's love and be very happy."

Again the child asked, "And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don't know the language?"

God said,

"Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care. Your angel will teach you how to speak."

"And what am I going to do when I want to talk to You?"

God said,

"Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray."

"Who will protect me?"

God said, "Your angel will defend you even if it means risking it's life."

"But I will always be sad because I will not see You Anymore."

God said,

"Your angel will always talk to you about Me and will teach you the way to come back to Me, even though I will always be next to you."

At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from earth could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, "God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel's name."

God said, "You will simply Call her, "Mom."

On this I have to disagree Bonnie.

Dads will see their daughters growing into women and know that in reality they are still children.

Try telling your 13 year old that tonight she cannot go out because she's dressed as a tart, in your opinion.

See what happens Seth, she will growl at you like there is no tomorrow, oh and by the way, you, a mature adult do not know diddly squat, she knows the world and all that it encompasses.

Yeah at about 16 it happened for one, now she is about 26 and has leveled back down and has her own 2 to go through that with. Another one is starting to show signs of realization that she doesn't know everything.

One of my sons was the most loving child you'd ever want to meet when he was young. He was always smiling and laughing and loved everyone. Now I don't think he likes hardly anyone. They're all different and I love them all, but they sure can be difficult as they get older.

Come on Bonnie, we know she's not an Angel. Think back and remember some of the things I'm sure you did that you didn't let your mom know about :-)

I was sugar and spice and everything nice.... still am ;)

My girls and I do get into a yelling match every now and again... but the teenager attitude hasn't fully kicked in for my oldest yet. She's only 14 1/2. So we are just at the beginning. She's just now getting into the boyfriend thing... and it'll be a bit before she's old enough to drive. So right now we don't have too much to fight about.

Now see... I didn't fight as much with my dad growing up. My dad allowed a bit more freedom. So the when he laid down the law on a few things... I knew he meant business and not to argue with him. His biggest thing was how I dressed. My clothes had to pass the "dad test". There was no arguing with that. Mom did help me out there a bit, or otherwise I'd have been dressed like a nun. But for the most part... dad and I got along better than my mom and I did. But now as an adult... with my mom gone... dad and I fight more than anything. In fact we haven't talked in months. Things fell apart after mom died. Who knows if dad and I will ever be close again. He's lost and hurting.. and I can't help him on this one. Only time will tell.

My daughter and I get on famously now, well apart from when I'm pulling her hubby down but she says; "I love him" so it's only to be expected even if he is a completely lazy rat.

Got this in an email and loved it !!! Had to share... I edited some of the language...

A very self-important college freshman attending a recent football game, took it upon himself to explain to a senior citizen sitting next to him why it was impossible for the older generation to understand his generation.

"You grew up in a different world, actually an almost primitive one," the student said, loud enough for many of those nearby to hear. "The young people of today grew up with television, jet planes, space travel, man walking on the moon, our spaceships have visited Mars. We have nuclear energy, electric and hydrogen cars, computers with DSL, BPS, light-speed processing ... and," pausing to take another drink of beer....

The Senior took advantage of the break in the student's litany and said, "You're right, son. We didn't have those things when we were young,... so we invented them.

Now, you arrogant little ****, what are you doing for the next generation?"

The applause was deafening.
