Hi,

I have a dell desktop that I got about a year ago. Today I tried to turn the PC on and was not able to. Nothing happens when I push the power button and the PC makes a clicking noise. I opened the front over. The clicking noise is coming from the power supply. Is the power supply dead?

Hi

Are you sure the clicking is coming from the PSU ?

Clicking often comes from a dying hard drive.

Just to confirm .....

Take the power connection off the hard drive then try to switch on again.

If the clicking is coming from the PSU you can assume that it needs replacing.

This is a relatively easy job.

There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !!
