At my wits end

Hi there, I turned on my computer this morning after shutting down last night when it gave me a warning box, I thought it was just a program I was using freezing, as it had "sam" in it somewhere (I had been using SAM broadcaster), anyway, in normal startup I'm getting a black screen with cursor, safe mode works fine (I'm in safe mode with networking at the moment, running a full virus scan) but in normal, nothing will work, ctrl alt del, sticky keys, just nothing. I tried system restore but it says there are no restore points. I don't have the windows 7 disc. The laptop is only a couple of months old. Any advice?

This sound like the same probem i am having at the moment so i know how u feel! Have a look at some of the suggestions i have had there maybe a fix for you there until someone can advise you properly.

If Safe Mode is working - this could be a driver problem - however I am a bit confused. ??

This seems to contradict.

A black screen or it boots up but nothing works. ??

2. Have you installed any new hardware or software just before the start of your problem ?
