diogmartins Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 Hello everyone, I just bought an ASUS N56VM laptop, and I cannot connect to the wireless network at my job, it just doesn't find it! On my old laptop and ipad works fine, but on the new laptop doesn't even appear... I tried connecting with my internet dongle and it worked just fine. My wifi adaptor is turned on and all the drivers are correctly installed. Could you help me? Cheers. Quote
KenB Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 Hi and welcome to ExTS Have you got TCP/IP settings set to "Obtain IP Address and DNS Server Address" automatically ? click here [assumes Win 7 ] If not ....make a note of the numbers that are there ( you may want to change back later ) and check the appropriate boxes. Does this machine connect to your home network OK using the internal wireless adapter ? I assume that this machine does actually have a wireless adapter ? Start ...type in .....devmgmt.msc ..............ENTER Click the + next to Network Adapters What exactly is listed ?
