KenB Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 Hi, take a look at this advice from Startbuck click here He will want to see the MBAM and OTL logs. ( don't forget the Extras log :) ) You may need to spread them over 2 or 3 posts Quote There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !! Starbuck Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Hi quaytec This pceu is the typical FBI MoneyPak ransomeware. If you already have MBAM on your system, you should be able to boot into safe mode and run MBAM ...... which should clear it. If you can’t access safe mode or safe mode with networking, then you have got a PCEU virus version like Gimemo, which is more complex to remove. All that means is, we'll need to do a registry edit to get you on your way. Are you sure safe mode or safe mode with networking won't load? Reboot in to 'Safe Mode' Restart your computer. When the computer starts you will see your computer's hardware being listed. When you see this information start to gently tap the F8 key repeatedly until you are presented with the Windows Vista Advanced Boot Options. Select the Safe Mode option using the arrow keys. Then press the enter key on your keyboard to boot into Vista Safe Mode. When Windows starts you will be at a typical logon screen. Logon to your computer and Vista will enter Safe mode.
