Hi, Welcome to the forum.

I've only ever installed a Wifi repeater once, so this might be a little sketchy.

On your laptop/pc, disconnect completely from your plusnet connection.

Plug your wifi repeater into the mains and wait a few minutes until it is ready (Usually a light changes colour or stops flashing)

Connect your Laptop/PC to extender643b7c - it shouldn't require a password - if it does refer to the extenders handbook.

Does it let you get this far?

If it does the rest will of the info you will need will be in the instruction handbook that came with the extender - essentially you need to open up a web-browser, go to 192.168.x.x, and follow some simple on-screen instructions.

I think this may be the routers network key.

It will be on the back or underneath the router.

It is usually case sensitive.

Is it page 9 of the manual you are stuck at ?

There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !!

Hi

Have you tried method 2 on Page 8 ?

Open an internet browser and in the address bar ( where http\\www. -------- is ) delete everything that is on the line then type in ....

192.196.2.2 ..........then hit ENTER

The default username = admin

The default password = 1234

Can you get this far ?

You're not putting "www." infront of the 192.196.2.2 are you?

I'm taking a wild stab in the dark at this, but I've never seen a wifi device that didn't start with 192.168

Could it be worth trying 192.168.2.2 and assuming the manual has a mis-print??

Looks like KenB had a Typo with the IP it should be 192.168.2.2 not 192.196.2.2

Try this and KenB know if this gets any futher :)

I needed to know if you are wireless / wired and the state of the LEDs to see if you could actually communicate with the device.

( I am working from the manual as I have no experience of this type of device )
