Hi all

i am across the road from my relations and using their wifi signal.

It is a weak signal but does get me on the net. Is there anything out there to boost the signal so i can get a better reception I am not on the net very much.

Hi

i am across the road from my relations and using their wifi signal.

Is this an un-secured signal ..........in other words does not need a network key to connect ?

There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !!

You could ask your relations to install a Wifi repeater and position it on the wall that is nearest to your house - though this won't make a difference if their router is already there.

As a technicality we shouldn't be assisting with this? an ISP could be of the view that you're using a service you're not paying for, which, if you squint, isn't legal.

Well it has got a key and a password It just to save me going a crross the road with my bad legs. usually i take the lap across to the house but have discovered i get a signal i do contrabute to the package across the road. The router is on the tv table and the signal is coming thru the wall straight inline to my laptop

You obviously didn't bother looking at the link I gave you.

That would have been educational too.

I have removed it now - you are obviously not interested.
