bigmack73 Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 I am running Win XP. My small question is: I have seen this "Microsoft .NET Framework" What does this do? Is it an important part of the system? Quote
AdvancedSetup Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 It is a foundation for programmers to more easily code complex projects. Please review here for more details. What Is .NET? More and more programs are being written that require .NET to be installed, but if you're not running any of those programs then you don't need it. If the software requires it then they often include it, or will pop-up a notice window to let you know that you need to go to Microsoft and install it. Quote Need help with your computer problems?
