Every time I open my Laptop, about 7-8 Internet Explorer pages open and and almost freeze my computer until I can manage to delete them. Although this is a reasonably new laptop Internet Explorer does not work.

So I just use Opera or Firefox.

Just wondering how to delete as I cannot find it in the add/remove programs section.

Thanks for help in advance!

P.S did post this in software issues before noticing Web Browsers! Sorry

Thank you for the speedy reply!

I just tried to remove Internet explorer using those instructions only to be told I do not have permission, should I be worried?

I am the only user and the only profile?

Thanks again for the reply

Hi again doesnothaveaclue

Are you sure that you are logging in to a 'Administrator' type account?

You will need full Admin rights to remove IE.

Did you set up the Pc? ...... can you remember if you set a full Admin account for yourself.

With only one user it should be an Admin account..... but some people for security reasons run a 'limited' account.

I am the only user of this computer and there is only one account. I do not think I would choose to run a limited account as this is the first I have really heard of this type of account.

I'll just learn to live with it! Annoying as it might be, I only really use the computer to gather information and play the occasional game of Age of Empires 2.

But thanks for taking the time to help!
