[Solved] Please Help! Computer randomly crashes when i start any game???

Every time i go to run a game for example BF3 and Skyrim my computer just crashes and my screen goes black and my monitor goes on standby but the computer is still running, and i cannot do anything apart from a manual reboot. Minecraft runs for about 5 seconds and then the same thing happens also, i downloaded the "OCCT" testing program, and when i test my CPU it is fine, when i test my GPU my computer just crashes and screen goes black and then also when i test my power supply the same thing happens and my pc just crashes and the screen goes black. I was running all of my games forever before today and have had no problems what so ever, yesterday i was running bf3 in ultra and recording at the same time and everything thing was perfect, just today this has randomly started happening, i will put the stats of my pc below:

 

CPU - AMD FX 8150 Eight-core 3.6ghz

Graphics Card - Gigabyte GTX 560Ti

RAM - 16gb @ 1600mhz

PSU - 700w

Hard Drive - 2000gb (2tb)

My computer is new, i built it about 2 weeks ago, all parts are new and i have a 700w PSU! Ive been playing games on it for over a week, all fine up till today! Im pretty sure everything is installed correctly and all drivers are fine because it was working yesterday and for weeks. Ive checked inside and all seems good, also tried updating drivers but all up to date! Im really puzzeled as to how to fix this!

 

Can anyone please help me? Any advice and help would be much appreciated!

Run it - it will show some temperatures.

Leave it open and monitor the temperatures - let us know what the high ones are ......especially under load.

It sounds like there is a faulty component. It also sounds like it dies after hitting load, even though MineCraft seems like a simple game it is a resource hog.

 

I would take a guess at it being a faulty graphics card as it affects the display, but it could also be a problem with anything else.

 

Download speccy http://www.piriform.com/speccy/download/standard and monitor your temps, another monitor program may be needed as it doesn't work properly with some motherboards. Put the PC under load and see what they get up to, more importantly keep an eye on the graphics card.

 

You could try swapping out the RAM, depending on how many sticks you have, to see if you have a faulty stick. All those games will work with 4gb, assuming you have 4x4.

 

If you have a spare PSU you see if that makes a change, you would need at least 500w to run your setup.

 

Additionally if your motherboard has it, you could run on-board video (take out the graphics card) with MineCraft and see how that runs.

Hey, i fixed the problem, it was my PSU. I bought the Corsair TX 650x, tested everything and completely fixed. Thanks for yout help and advice, much appreciated! :)
