PEV Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 Hi I run XP home edition. Up until now I have been able to get connected to favourite sites which appear on my desk top as icins. However more and more lately I am getting message 'internet explorer cannot open this page' When I click on the icon again it usually works 2nd time. Not a massive problem but a bit annoying! Does anyone have a solution please? Thanks Ray Quote
KenB Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 Hi Ray Try deleting the cache and browsing history Start > Control Panel > Internet Options > Delete If "Preserve Favourites Website Data" is there and checked .......uncheck it. Put a check against Cookies / History / Temp Internet Files ...........................Delete. PEV Posted February 25, 2013 Author Posted February 25, 2013 Thanks Ken I already delete temp internet files and history on a regular basis but have deleted cookies as well so will see if there's any improvement. Ray Quote
