fraser Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 i have an acer aspire 6530g running on windows7 when i try to play a game the game starts then my screen goes black the computer is still on but i cant do anything as the screen turns completely black,this doesnt happen if i watch a movie on dvd or online only when i try to play a game anyone have any clues thanks Quote

You could also take 1 module out and try running off the other. Swap the modules over if the first module produces the black screen. Switch off - unplug the mains and take the battery out first. fraser Posted February 26, 2013 Author Posted February 26, 2013 turns out its the gpu i started up in safe mode and started the game no black screen but a message popped up saying the graphics card cant handle it basicly now thinking back this didnt happen till i downloaded updates for the particular game so it handled it before but cant after the updates..ill look at hooking up an external graphics card Quote
