KenB Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Hi Ray do drives intended for Windows 7 need to be of a particular type? No - not at all. You just need to make sure that you get a SATA drive if your connections are SATA (There is an older IDE - PATA ) is the 22A23T0 part important No - it just identifies that specific drive. If you are looking for a hard drive then be aware that laptop drives are 2.5 inches and desktop drives are bigger ( 3.5 inches ) Also - they come in 2 different speeds 54,000 and 72,000 r/m Obviously 72,000 r/m is the better option.
