Laptop fan not working

Hi people i have laptop and the fan is not working my laptop is in the G series. I have a Hp G62 and it fell down the stairs :( but made it out alive some how and now the fan is not working it gives me a error on boot up saying my system temperature is 90b and weird smell coming from the vent, but where the fan is there is a taping noise and there is a 9 second pause before it makes the noise again. I'm going to get it looked at tomorrow but i'm wondering if it catching anything or do any of you on here have any ideas what it could be? i looked at the fan from the back with a torch and the fan is not cracked or anything and the vents are fine. Also it was the vent that got hit when it went down the stairs and the fan got hit when it landed on the ground

The knocks from dropping will have dislodged something and it will have to be taken apart to find out what. If you are taking it to a repair shop they will find the problem, the worry is the smell, I hope nothing serious has burnt because the fan isn't running. Whatever you do, don't try to start it till it has been looked at as damage from heat will happen.

erm.. funny thing is it been broke for a while and i still use it. i know i should not use it but my parents don't know its broke and i have had no problems with it. it over heats but i let it cool down before i use it again so nothing burns out. well my charger died on me but i can fix that easy

I hope you guys wish me luck for tomorrow and hope nothing needs to be replaced inside and i hope the fan is just catching something so we can move it out the way and i hope nothing brakes on him when he is looking because he said he will open it and look at it for free but if he opens it and something brakes then i'm in trouble because i have no money well i have some but i hope it not going to cost me alot and i think the burning smell is just dust stuck in the vent
