So, I have the acer aspire z5610. Every time I go on the computer, it is randomly shutting down.

Not only that, when I try to start it back up, it gets to the boot screen where it shows the acer logo, makes a loud beeping noise and won't go any further. I can get into the setup utility menu, but I don't know if I can do anything from here.

Every now and then it starts up, but then it will just **** down again.

Can you help me please?

Thanks.

Hello Danny_Chop and Welcome to FPCH

Has this fault justed started to happen or have you had it a long time??

What do you mainly use the PC/Laptop for ??

If it happens again Take the RAM out - give the contacts a clean with a pencil eraser and put the RAM back in and try from there.

Yes, this has just started happening.

I have a pc, it is touch screen and all-in-one, so there is no tower.

I am familiar with what the RAM is, and would know how to take it out, but I just don't want to take this computer apart as I am no expert and don't want to risk breaking it.

Is there no other solution? As taking it apart would be my last resort.

Thanks for your advice.

It stays on for about an hour, I just use it to browse the Web, watch movies, social networking, just the usual kind of stuff. I haven't used it to download anything. I have only had the computer near 3 weeks.

The beep is only short, it lasts about a second.

Sounds Hardware related. If its that young I would contact supplier / Acer as the unit has a One Year warranty.

I bought the pc from cash converters. The woman who works there claims to be the previous owner of it before myself. It came with a 3 month warranty so I guess I will just take it back there.

Thanks again.

Hi Danny_chop

Doesn't sound too good but Yes If its got some warranty i would take the unit back.

The Next step would be to start with some of the Hardware inside the machine For example Cleaning the RAM and testing to see if the Machine was gettings too Hot.

Hi just to add to Speedy's good advice, there is also another monitoring software, again free called Speccy, It is a bit more in depth and can give other useful information should it be needed later, you can download Speccy from Piriform here=
