Hi everyone I wonder if anyone can assist me with my problem, I took the plunge and got a windows 8 computer to use instead of my old xp model. there trouble is that I can download my version of adobe elements 9 from their website but it will not run. I asked adobe but they said they no longer offer help to that version. Every time I try to run the program the application part keeps asking me to open it and the main program starts to unzip the files, then the following message keeps appearing. A problem occurred while extracting some files check available space on your computer and write privileges on destination folder. The computer has a 750 gb hard drive hardly used and the rest I dont understand. Has anyone else had a problems like mine, please any help will be very much appreciated as I dont want to have splashed out on a computer that will not run one of my main programs:confused:

Thanks a bunch George

Hello there.

Windows Element I just read this and it does not list Windows 8.BUT it does list lots of other items like Direct X etc.Check what is listed is fully updated on your new machine.

However so far all I can find is Elements 11 is compatable and 9 is not.

This maybe your issue, however one of the guys may be able to advise you further so hang in there.
