PickleCommander Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Hello! I'm having issues with my internet keeping reconnecting. This happens to both wired and wireless connection (though only wired connection shows that it has no connecion). This is just going so much on nerves, I've had plenty of situations where I just want to puch my monitor as hard as I can. It reconnects very randomly, the biggest time I've been without reconnection is about 10 minutes, usually it reconnections atleast once in a minute, the reconnection take anywhere from 3 seconds to a whole minute. Also, I'm the only casualty using this same connection. So it's clearly not a problem in the modem/router, but in my laptop. Whenever I do have a connection, my connection is not slow, the opposite actually with downloading speed 5-10 mb/s. I've had this computer about 10 months and had this problem about 1-2 months. I've tried making the drivers not disable themselves to save power, flush my DNS (whatever that is), updated drivers, uninstalling the drivers and then install some from the net and not what windows automatically installs and the list goes on. If you ask me to do a virus scanning, then know that if you change this thread into malware removal I will stop posting and find a new website to ask for help. Because on another website I posted this same problem and it turned into a malware removal thread instead on network problem thread. I'm using windows 7 on an Asus Republic of Gamers g75vw (sometimes just called g75v) The reason I post the name of my PC instead of the specs is because I don't know where to find the specs on my pc and I don't know what specs I should include and what not. Thank you! Quote

KenB Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 If you ask me to do a virus scanning, then know that if you change this thread into malware removal I will stop posting and find a new website to ask for help. This seems a bit extreme !! =============== EDIT I thought I recognised your problem ..... I have advised you on CHF. http://computerhelpforums.net/threads/internet-connection-problems.34612/ It was me who took you through flush my DNS (whatever that is), updated drivers, uninstalling the drivers.... It was also me who suggested that it may be malware related. It was me who identified a Password Stealer on your system .... amongst other things. etavares then picked up the thread and was helping you remove the malware. This is where you threw your rattle out of the pram because things were not moving quickly enough for you. DSTM had to remove your bad language from a post and you were banned from CHF. Your system DOES have malware on it. The cause is more than likely the P2P software that you have on it. This may - or may not be the cause of your networking problem - we will never know because you have excluded yourself from any assistance here with your comment above! We approach problems logically. If malware seems to be involved than this is dealt with first. You obviously know better. If you go elsewhere you will be told exactly the same.
