Plastic Nev Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 You may have heard already that birthdays are good for you, the more you have and the longer you live!! So, a small explanation first, I got a new brass instrument recently as a friend found it for sale on a car booter. It is an odd American thing with only two valves instead of the usual three, however it plays well. Hence a little bit of explanation at the start of this video, made just for you for today. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-MP0tIVS7_k It beats most fancy graphics and pictures. Nev. Jelly Bean Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Thankyou Randy I am not great with graphics either. Ken you greedy git now the thorntons chocolates the kids brought me today ,you will not be having one BUT you can have the one the kids licked and didnt like. Just kidding, shame thats just a photo of a cake however chocolate cake and custard for me and 3 children in a little while., Nev I will say thankyou very much that was very sweet of you and my niece Jazmine thinks your brilliant she is 5. I ended up with two extra children for the night. Our Logan who we usually have and his little sister Jazmine.By time Ive cooked, took them to the park and back again.I am ready for my bed. Both children are fighting for my childs attention. My wood coffee table has just ruined by my 7 yearold nephew with black permanent marker.Yes it is not even a yearold. Tuna, pasta and mayo does not agree with one of the children I want to be sick. But neither of the three will admit they did it.So now they are placing blame on me. Oh the joys of being the fav aunty. Thanks again guys. The day has gone fine so far and I cannot wait for the kids to go to bed for me to eat my chocolates WITHOUT sharing. Quote Rwy'n ceisio fy ngorau......................
KenB Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 you can have the one the kids licked and didnt like. Story of my life - other people's cast-offs :) Re Permanent Marker ---------removal. Try a pencil eraser - but only on the marker ink. Also try Toothpaste on a clean cloth. Rub gently. You could try nail varnish remover - you will have to be very careful with this. After you have got rid of the marks you need to re-oil the surface. Quote There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !! Jelly Bean Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 There will not be any licked only eaten by me.I maybe safer to sand down the area and revarnish. The 5 yearold has permanent marker on a proper wood floor. Oh they joys. Waiting for my cake and custard to cool. Quote Rwy'n ceisio fy ngorau......................
KenB Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 I maybe safer to sand down the area and revarnish. Try the methods listed above first - sanding down is rather drastic ......last resort :) Quote There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !! Plastic Nev Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 I hesitate to mention as it dissolves the marker ink but could spread it and that is WD40. However if on a varnished surface you might get away with it as it hopefully will leave the varnish alone. However black or other coloured marker on things like a fridge door or other enamelled surface WD40 is great. A wash over with a strong detergent after will kill the distinctive WD40 smell. Otherwise glad you are in some small way enjoying your birthday. Nev. Quote Need help with your computer problems? Then why not join Free PC Help. Register here.
