Hi and welcome to ExTS I'd like you to follow the following instructions this should remove "Default Tab Search Results"

Step 1

Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode onto your desktop.

  • Close all open programs and internet browsers.
  • Double click on adwcleaner.exe to run the tool.
  • Click on Delete.
  • Confirm each time with Ok.
  • You will be prompted to restart your computer. A text file will open after the restart.
  • Please post the contents of that logfile with your next reply.
  • You can find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner[s1].txt as well.

Hope this Helps

Hello again.

Thank you for helping.

I am going to download the tool you suggested, but i should also mention that I found another solution.

i searched if someone asked about the solution to the same problem and i found this http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/487215/default-tab-search-results-llc/

I thought it would take too much time to post my logs there so i continued searching and came across those manual removal instructions http://www.americanpendulum.com/2013/03/21/remove-default-tab-search-results-llc/

I removed everything suspicious from my browser and i search for a file with that name, but did not find any. Anyway, I read that the manual removal i certainly not going to do much, so i also downloaded Malwarebytes.

After the second scan there were no threads found, so i guess it was successfully removed.

Just to be sure i will scan my computer with ADWCleaner.
