Airborne Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 I have had this attractive clock on my desktop now for a few tears. I personally find it visually enhancing and it has a few sub-functions that are useful at times. Link Deleted as requested - by KenB OK, I know many users of today prefer a Star-Wars image with digital display, flashing lights, Aliens and spaceships, but being old fashioned, I like the traditional quality look and this Vista clock gives it. Also it is a freebie. Well worth having and it has never given any trouble. Quote UTRINQUE PARATUS - AD UNUM OMNES
Woodworker Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 (edited) You didn't say anything about Websteroids and all the other junk the download put on my lappy - It also changed my browser and has taken fifteen minutes of my time to clean things up plus I'll need to carry out a full scan tomorrow! It's ironic that you state you've had it for a few "tears." My advice to anybody is do not try to download this clock! Hopefully, the moderators will delete the offending link - I only trusted it because I found it here! Edited February 18, 2014 by Woodworker Quote
KenB Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Sorry to hear that you had problems with a link from this site Woodworker ...it is difficult to check out everything that is posted. You will notice that Airborne is actually banned ( not for posting this link I may add ) I have deleted the link as requested. RandyL Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 I too am sorry. Thanks for letting us know. On a side note a while back I re-downloaded a good piece of software that I used before. To my surprise this time it was loaded with almost impossible to remove crapware. Sound familiar. It took me an hour to rid myself of the crap. I feel your pain. Woodworker Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Thank you Ken and Randy, I'm in no way blaming you for the problems, as you can't be expected to try everything and the onus is on contributors to respect other users. Fortunately, I have Revo Uninstaller which works well in cleaning up remnants left by crapwear. Kind regards, David Quote
