Regedit > Local machine > system > current control set > control > storage device policies > ( 2 items. one is default. the other is write protect. In the latter, I change value from ¨1¨ to ¨0¨. Take usb out, and re insert it. It is STILL write protected. ??? (Bought it new, assuming it was ´¨free access¨ Half way through transferring files to it, it stopped, and said ¨write protected¨. I lost half my files. Quote
