laharl2006 Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 can I use avr servo type on my pc? rather ups or ordinary pc avr? Quote
KenB Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Hi and welcome to ExTS can I use avr servo type on my pc? There are 2 types of AVR ....servo and relay. The servo is the better of the two as it withstands voltage fluctuations better. If you are subject to voltage surges then this could be your answer. A UPS serves as a "battery" when the supply is temporarily cut off. Do a bit of research to decide which best suits your needs. laharl2006 Posted July 7, 2013 Author Posted July 7, 2013 hi, thank you very much for answering my question,...so, ups today has built in avr,.and i think a relay type.am i correct with this? im much worried of voltage fluctuations, so i'll go with servo type. Quote
KenB Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 so, ups today has built in avr,.and i think a relay type.am i correct I cannot confirm that they are solely relay ......sorry. When you do decide what you want - make sure that you have enough outlets for your needs. Some units will have "Surge Only" outlets as well as the AVR. These can be used for printers etc. that do not require "battery" backup. Quote There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !!
