Don't try cutting and pasting 30 gig of data whist doing other stuff cos then ya accidently delete it , all I can say is yay for recuvva

Recuva is only any good if the files haven't been written over.

I was lucky i was shifting files to a new drive I pasted them there then like a idiot i deleted them i ran Recuva straight away

Recuva is great like you say if you immediately run recuva.

It has happened to me as well.

Confidence, is the feeling I get, moments before I stuff something up.

Just my two pennyworth, I always try to make sure it is a copy and paste, that way if the copy is deleted, the original is still there. Losing something is a bit of a paranoia for me LOL.
