Hi Quirkie

How much RAM do you have in your machine ?

Virtual Memory is not specifically linked with RAM but if you don't have enough you could get this message popping up.

To check the V-M ....

You are best advised to have this set to "System Managed".

It has 512MB of RAM

XP runs best with 1GB or more of RAM.

It depends what you have on the machine and what you are using it for.

Did you have to change the option to "System Managed" ?

It does depend what you are doing ....... as I said 512Mb is not quite enough ...... again ... depends what you use the system for.
