tommygee Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 Hello so basically heres a quick overall of what happened.... Dell was trying to contact by phone call for a few days when I was actually was able to speak to them they said my computer was at risk and was sending ''them'' errors that my system is damaged. Anyway so they made me do some scans etc.. on my computer and then tried to force me to buy security software ( which I could not afford ) So I ended up saying I was not interested and ended the call, turned the computer off and left. The next day I turned my computer on and i need a password to access my computer here I realised I had been scammed/hacked I rang dell and obviously they said they had not tried to contact me but because my warranty had ended it would cost around 100 pound maybe more to fix the hack. Only I could fall for these stupid scams. Is there anyway I can restore my computer to factory settings before windows opens? Or if anyone else has got any good ideas how to restore or fix the problem that would be great thanks. Quote
