Can anyone help please:confused: - I am constantly having difficulties finding files under the search function on Windows 7 Professional at work. I know they are there, but they do not come up at all or only older files show up. I search by file name or words within the file. I have created new folders and moved things around, not sure if this is the issue, as things have got progressively worse. Could it be a permissions issue and if so how can I check? Would appreciate any assistance anyone can give me.

Hi Mitch and welcome to Extreme Tech Support - Free PC Help.

Can you be a bit more specific about what type of files please, are they documents, and if so are they Microsoft office or works word files?

Are they photo's or drawings, and if so what type of file, are they JPG, PNG, or other type?

Indeed any other type of file as well, from video to sound, knowing that may help in diagnosing what may be wrong.
