My wife's laptop gave up the ghost yesterday. It is a HP G62 just coming up for three years old. When switched on the screen was blank and the fan ran for a few seconds. No hard drive noise at all. I checked to make sure the memory boards had not slipped on the advice of my son who is a network manager in a school but miles away in Cornwall. He is of the opinion that the motherboard has gone.

If this is the case my wife would like to buy a tablet but this presents another problem. She is a darts fan and watches videos from the PDC darts competitions. These however require Adobe flash and it now appears that none of the tablet makers support this anymore. She likes the Galaxy Tab2 10.1 but anything over Android 4.0 will not be any good. Appears that you can download flash for these earlier specs from the Adobe archives. Just not sure where to go with this one. Any ideas anyone. Thanks.

You can download Adobe Flash on any version of Android. It comes down to if the tablet and version are happy to run an older version of Adobe, which will be a gamble.

I'm not 100% positive, but some browsers may play video without any issues, I.E Firefox for Android https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.mozilla.firefox

I just had a look around and it seems that while the Galaxy Tab 2 is a good tablet, it seems that people are not too happy with their customer service.

I'll be buying the newer Nexus 7 later this month. It's all down to preference.

I do recommend doing the research into a product first. Nothing worse than buying something that you are later unhappy with.
