Hi

I am using a pre paid mobile broadband connection on my Toshiba Satellite PC

I am running on Vista home.

I downloaded drivers for an HP printer and this seems to have sent my pc a little scatty.

It appears that the T Mobile dongle I use has some strange effects.

After a short time the internal fan starts to go and occasionally the comp will simply shut down., losing all the work I have just done.

I have had to use safe mode and remove the last windows updates to get the pc going again.

Have I downloaded a virus or just done something stupid?

thank you for your assistance in advance

Hi and welcome to ExTS

If the fan is constantly running and the machine is shutting down ..........this could be overheating.

Try a system restore to before the date that you d/l the HP drivers.

With Vista:

Your files / photos etc will be fine.
