Ron Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 Suddenly I cannot open a lot of my desktop items because The Protocol "HTTP" does not have a registered program. I just cannot find a method of recovering from this. Any help or advice much appreciated. Quote
KenB Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 Hi Ron and welcome to ExTS I am assuming that the icons are web-based ?? Try the following: ( hope this is OK for Win7 ) 1. Click Start, select Default Programs 2. Select your web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer) from the list 3. Click Set this program as default 4. Click OK If that doesn’t do it, follow these steps: 5. Click Set program access and computer defaults 6. Click Custom, and select your web browser 7. Click OK.
