Hi All,

I've just upgraded to Windows 8.1 and I am facing an issue: The scroll that I have on my laptop (that comes in the right side of the mousepad) is not working anymore. :(

My PC is:

Acer Aspire V3 - 771G

I've google a bit but didn't find any issue like this. Scrolling doesn't work after Windows 8.1 but it was working on Windows 8.

BTW: This update doesn't bring anything much scpecial in terms of aesthectics. Not a crucial update...i think :)

Thanks!

Hi MH2

Try going to Device Manager ( Search Box > type in device manager > click on Settings )

Click the > next to Mice and other Pointing Devices

Right click on the mouse pad > update driver software

Use the automatic option

[ you will need internet access ]

If there is a newer driver this should install it.

Failing that ...

right click the mouse pad in Device Manager > Uninstall

Reboot the machine

Windows should re-install the drivers

There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !!

Hi. I would be going to Acer and looking for Touchpad Drivers for your machine.

Confidence, is the feeling I get, moments before I stuff something up.

As DSTM suggests ......... try the drivers from here

Hi,

It worked. Thanks. Probably Windows 8.1 made a reset on some of the drivers and installed the default ones

Thank you Ken and DSTM
