Hi, please help! I am currenlty using my sisters laptop and I'm getting the blue screen with the stop 0x0000007b message... I've tried googling to resolve but it's a mindfield to me.

I'm unable to start in safe mode and I don't have the discs available.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi, can you get it to boot up at all, or are you stuck on that message and it won't go any further?

If it will not boot up at all, it is quite likely a hardware fault, are you able or allowed (Considering it is your sisters laptop) to remove covers?

If so, you would need to locate the cover or covers for RAM modules, and also the Hard drive.

Can you please tell us if prepared to go that far, and quite importantly the make and model number of the laptop please.

Nev.

Hi and welcome to ExTS

I am currenlty using my sisters laptop

I assume from this that the problem lies with your own machine ?

Laptop or desktop ?

As Nev states ..... make and model number would be a good starting point :)

Take the RAM out as Nev suggests and switch on.

It will not boot up - but if the error message goes away we can take it from there.

There is an email going around offering processed pork - gelatin - and salt in a can ......this is simply SPAM !!
