How to clear apps cache in Android

Not only your browser holds a cache, but all of your applications in your Android tablet or smartphone have a cache. A routine job to enhance the performance is to clear the cache in Android devices.

If you need to free up some space on the phone the first thing to look I'd the cache as it can remove you up to 2gb on a 12gb storage tablet. This will immediately speed up your phone or tablet.

 

Actually there is an app to do this job for you. It is called Cache cleaner and you may download from the Google Play Store.

Open the app. It will automatically scan how much space it can clean.

In my case there was almost 500mb to be cleaned. Just click the clean button and the Cache cleaner app will quickly remove all those files.

Nice to see you here. The AVG Memory & Cache Cleaner is also a good one - It allows to make a cron job, programming the cache cleaner maintence for once a week.

 

I've just ran it on my Smartphone, but it only want's to kill about 100mb including SMS, MMS and History, so I suspect it doesn't clear the cache as deep as App Cache cleaner does.

I am not very good with computers however the more I lookthe more I realize the less I know!

With regards to the AVG cleaner, I’m not sure but you may beable to go into the settings and change the values. I use this AVG for my Tablet only at the moment.

Hmm, the settings are very limited. It only allows me to change colours lol. Will try to compare side by side both the apps in the same device and will put here the results asap ;)

AVG is the clear winners. It cleans more in cache as well as in overall terms

I use memory booster and ram optimizer to keep my 512mb phone up to speed since at times it can be using almost 400mb ram just sitting idle ( I have operating systems use less )
