I am a fan of great productivity apps for Android and I've found SwiftKey 1 year ago. Since then I've been writing faster and saving a lot of time.

SwiftKey changes your keyboard to something more user friendly than the usual default Android keyboard. Amongst other features it has:

-The ability to Swype your finger to write text. Its a funny way of writing but I'm still not used to it.

-The ability to make it learn from your own writing. You can tell the app to learn your writing style from Facebook, Twitter, your emails, and even your RSS feed: your can tell the app to learn from your posts on FPCH - create an RSS feed for your profile and that would work. It can also learn from previous messages.

-You can enable 2 languages on your device (Portuguese and English in my case ) and SwiftKey will automatically detect in which language you are looking to write and eventually if you're looking to write with both languages at the same time it will softly understand it.

The App is not free for the full features. It actually costs 3.99$ for the tablet version and 0.99$ for the smartphone version. It works in all Android versions from 2.3 onwards.

Swiftkey just updated Yesterday their Keyboard Apps which made the Tablet Version and the Smartphone version in one single package.

If you already have the tablet version, then you can't just update. You must go to the Google Play Store and download the version labeled as "New". If is free for all previous owners of a Swiftkey app.

This new version brings lots of new features that supply a new way of thinking on how you interact with your keyboard - it allows you to move the keyboard outside the base of the screen, change it's dimensions and present it in a normal to allow for thumb writting or compact view.

This update is called "Layouts for Living".

Screenshots will be here soon.
