Annoying 'instant results' when doing a Google search

Hi Guys

It'a a while since I was on ExTS so things must have been pretty good this end!

When I do a search on Google whatever I type in at the very first letter of the starting word I get a whole list of subjects starting with that letter/word. Example if I do a search for cats I then get Cats, cat protection, cats musical etc etc!

I did a Google search to find a cure and tried out 'settings' and and there I tried to turn off 'instant results but although I clicked save settings the blinkin thing is not turned off!

Any suggestions please?

Nice to see you again - at least your problem is not too serious :)

 

Have you tried this: ( I am assuming that this will be OK for XP )

 

 

1. Click Start, point to Settings, point to Control Panel, and then click Internet Options.
   
2. Click the Content tab, click AutoComplete, and then click to clear the Web addresses check box.
   
3. Click OK, and then click OK.
